VERO BEACH — The 2026 Charity Polo Cup raised $417,000 in net proceeds for three local nonprofits, organizers announced Thursday.
The funds from the event, presented by PNC Bank and hosted by the Windsor Charitable Foundation, will be split equally among Childcare Resources of Indian River, Crossover Mission and the Environmental Learning Center.
“The success of the Charity Polo Cup reflects the extraordinary generosity and benevolence of the Windsor community,” said Luke O’Boyle, general manager at Windsor. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and supported the event, helping us to create a memorable event for our guests, and lasting change for our nonprofit partners.”
Galen Weston hosted this year’s gathering, which drew 650 luncheon guests. The two competing teams, the Maple Leafs and the Shamrocks, paid tribute to Weston’s late mother, Hilary M. Weston, honoring her Irish-Canadian heritage and her contributions to Windsor’s equestrian program.
Players included were Nina Clarkin, Lucas Criado, Martín Jáuregui, Sebastian Koga, Magoo Laprida, Santiago Llavallol and Fred Mannix and Harrison Reicher. The match ended in an 8-8 tie, with Mannix earning most valuable player honors and a 9-year-old pony named Nikki, ridden by Laprida, receiving best playing pony honors.
A junior polo match returned featuring teams from Canada and the United States. Team Jr. USA won and Pablito Falabella was named MVP.
Guests enjoyed a fieldside luncheon and a themed tailgate competition. The top prize went to “That’s Amore,” followed by “It’s a Wonderful Life” in second and “The Love Boat” in third.
The Space Coast Region of Porsche Club of America hosted a people’s choice concours with more than 40 vehicles. Halftime included a divot stomp and a luxury automobile parade, along with announcements of silent auction and raffle winners.
The auction and raffle offered luxury items, including jewelry, artwork, apparel, excursions, wine and experiences. Standouts were a commemorative poster by artist Derek Gores and a $10,000 Jane Win necklace trio.
PNC Bank served as presenting sponsor, with support from Windsor, VistaJet, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Audi of Melbourne, L3Harris Technologies Inc., Michael Merrill of Douglas Elliman Vero Beach and others.
