The Environmental Learning Center plans to host Lagoonapalooza 2026, a free festival blending live music, environmental education and outdoor activities with a focus on the Indian River Lagoon’s biodiversity and significance.
The event is set for Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the center’s 64-acre campus in Vero Beach. Organizers describe it as a family-friendly gathering aimed at fostering community engagement with nature.
Live performances will feature on two stages. At the Lagoon Gallery Stage, Chris Kahl performs from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. On the Pavilion Stage, the lineup includes the Murphy Dogs from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Gary Roland & The Landsharks Band from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., and HOT PINK from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Attendees are advised to bring chairs or blankets for seating.
Activities include interactive eco-games with local partners, dip netting in ponds for children, touch tanks, aquariums, food vendors, art galleries, crafts, boardwalk trails and a nature playscape.
Short pontoon and canoe trips will offer views of the lagoon from the water, along with guest speakers throughout the day.
Admission is free, supported by sponsors including Alex MacWilliam Real Estate as the Eco Harmony Sponsor. Other backers are GHO Homes, Cox Pinson Environmental, Vero Glass & Mirror, White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery, and Au Pair in America. Additional sponsorship and vendor spots remain open.
