The Vero Beach International Tennis Open returns to Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club for its fifth anniversary edition, bringing professional women’s tennis players from more than 30 countries to compete for a $75,000 prize purse and WTA ranking points.
The tournament, part of the U.S. Women’s Tennis Association Pro Circuit, runs Jan. 26 through Feb. 1. It is one of only 10 events nationwide at this level, and more than 30 current and past participants have gone on to compete in the U.S. Open.
Matches begin daily at 11 a.m., with the final matches of the day scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
“The VBITO has become one of the most anticipated weeks of the year at Grand Harbor,” said Marco Osorio, director of sports and tournament director. “Each year, we see an incredible level of competition and community energy. It’s amazing to see professional players from around the world competing right here in our backyard.”
A full slate of public social events is planned, including:
- Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 5 p.m.
- Art Show on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m. (complimentary for ticketholders)
- Kids Day on Friday, Jan. 30, at 4 p.m. (free for children under 13)
- Porsche Club of America Car Show on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m.
- Doubles Finals on Saturday, Jan. 31
- Grand Dinner Dance on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m.
- Singles Finals and Car Show on Sunday, Feb. 1 (car show at 10 a.m., finals at 11 a.m.)
Members-only and sponsor-only events include a Fashion Show Dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 5:30 p.m., and a Pro-Am on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 2:30 p.m.
This year’s title sponsors are Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Porsche of Melbourne, which are presenting a luxury vehicle showcase throughout the week.

Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club, a private club in Vero Beach, features two championship golf courses, a state-of-the-art racquets complex and a renovated Beach Club. The club is open to residents both inside and outside its gates.
