VERO BEACH — Music fans along Florida’s Treasure Coast can look forward to a new season of live bluegrass performances, with the Heritage Center and Indian River Citrus Museum launching its Heritage Bluegrass Music Series next month.
The free monthly concerts, presented by George E. Warren LLC and Vero Heritage Inc. in partnership with Hibiscus Vintage Music, begin with a kickoff show on Saturday, Oct. 18, featuring Ian Lane and Southern Flavor. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the venue on 2140 14th Ave., with subsequent events set for the third Wednesday of each month from November through May.
Organizers said the series includes a 50/50 raffle at each concert, with proceeds benefiting local music education programs. Free entry is available, though reserved seating costs $20 and can be purchased via a QR code on event posters. A cash bar will be open.
The lineup features a mix of regional acts: Ian Lane and Southern Flavor on Oct. 18, Penny Creek Bluegrass Band on Nov. 19, Flatlanders Bluegrass Band on Dec. 17, Southern Express Bluegrass on Jan. 21, Grateful Dawg Tribute on Feb. 18, True Grittz on March 18, a to-be-determined performer on April 15, and Remedy Tree on May 22.
Sponsors include Mullins Downtown Vero, Seacoast Bank, EDR Forensics, Quail Valley, and others, along with support from the Indian River County Tourist Development Council and local arts groups.
The series aims to celebrate vintage music traditions while supporting community education initiatives, according to organizers.
