VERO BEACH — A Ugandan children’s choir will take center stage at a fundraising gala in Vero Beach next week, aiming to support medical clinics and youth programs serving thousands in rural Uganda.
The Mission Uganda Dinner Gala, featuring the Imani Milele Choir, is set for Oct. 2 at Celebration Grove, 3515 66th Ave. The event, hosted by Coastal Church in Sebastian, runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and includes a dinner, live and silent auctions, raffle prizes, and sales of authentic Ugandan merchandise, with all proceeds benefiting missions in Kamusenene, Uganda.
The Imani Milele Children’s Choir, composed of talented Ugandan students, performs high-energy songs, dances and African drum routines that highlight stories of personal transformation through faith.
The group is on its 2025 U.S. tour to raise awareness for orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda.
Imani Milele Children, a Christian nonprofit based in Sebastian with operations in Uganda, focuses on providing education, health care and skills training to help children become self-sufficient adults. Since 2014, its Mission Uganda efforts have treated over 48,000 patients at pop-up medical clinics and engaged more than 14,600 children in resource programs offering crafts, games, and hygiene education.
Attendees are encouraged to reserve seats in advance.
