SEBASTIAN — The Spirit of Sebastian community will host its January “Afternoons in the Agrihood” farmer’s market event on Jan. 17, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at 75 Spirit Boulevard in Sebastian.
This free event offers residents a mix of local produce, artisan goods, live music, and family-friendly activities. It is part of an ongoing community series, featuring a carefully chosen assortment of vendors showcasing fresh-picked produce, native plants, sourdough breads, assorted treats, home goods, and specialty foods.
Attendees can also enjoy fresh-brewed coffee on the porch while browsing offerings from more than two dozen local makers.
Live music & Kid Zone
East Harbor Duo will provide the musical setting, creating a relaxed tone for the afternoon gathering. A kid zone with crafts and activities, along with complimentary face painting by Fun Face Artistry, aims to make the market appealing for families.
Health and wellness
Health and wellness take center stage with interactive workshops in partnership with Treasure Coast Fitness & Nutrition. An adult session runs from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a kids’ workshop for ages 5 and up from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The hands-on activities focus on functional fitness using light equipment and bodyweight movements, suitable for beginners and families. Advance sign-ups are required via the organization’s website.
Cooking demonstration
Wild Thyme Catering will lead a live cooking demonstration from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., highlighting recipes made from Agrihood-grown produce to inspire home cooks.

The Afternoons in the Agrihood event is all about connecting neighbors, supporting local businesses, along with promoting healthy habits in the new year. The market is held in the communities’ Agrihood space, celebrating community and sustainability.
