SEBASTIAN — The City of Sebastian will host its annual Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Riverview Park.
The free community event will feature live entertainment, food and retail vendors, family-friendly activities, environmental organizations, Spring Cleaning Event and more.
Highlights include:
- Non-profits and environmental organizations
- Local small businesses and food vendors
- Sebastian River Art Club Lagoon Art Show and Sale
- Kids’ activities and raffles with prizes
- Live music by Mondo Tikis from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- WM Shredding and Recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon
Spring Cleaning Event – Electronics Recycling & Paper Shredding
The Annual Waste Management and City of Sebastian Spring Cleaning event for Sebastian residents will be from 9 a.m. to noon. To join the drive-thru, enter the Overflow Parking Lot across from the Sportsman’s Lodge at 500 Indian River Dr.
Acceptable Electronic items include
- Computers
- laptops
- keyboards
- mice,
- scanners,
- printers
- fax machines
- stereos
- radios
- DVD/VCRs
- televisions.
Paper Shredding
- A maximum of three boxes or bags per vehicle.
- City of Sebastian residents only, no businesses
Household Bulk Items
Waste Management will hold a free household bulk items drive-thru service on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Barber Street Sports Complex, located at 1121 Barber Street in Sebastian.
Acceptable items include household furnishings such as couches, mattresses, dressers, tables and chairs. Also accepted are white goods (household appliances), lawn furniture, small barbecue grills without propane tanks, and bicycles.
Items that will not be accepted include regular household trash, yard waste and hazardous waste.
This year, the city is partnering with BikeWalk IRC to collect gently used bicycles for its Bike Rehab Program; bicycles that cannot be refurbished will be taken by Waste Management.
The event is held in conjunction with the City of Sebastian’s Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration at nearby Riverview Park.
