SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian Police Department is hosting a free R.A.D. women’s self-defense course next month, designed to empower women and girls with awareness and defensive skills to enhance personal safety.
The four-day class runs from Feb. 17 to 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each evening, at Sebastian Public Works, 505 Airport Drive West. Participants will engage in lectures, physical defense training, and simulation exercises designed to build confidence and practical responses to potential threats.
Developed by R.A.D. Systems, the program provides educational opportunities for women to create a safer future through risk awareness and hands-on techniques. It is open to females ages 13 and older. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
