The Sebastian Police Department is hosting its Annual Community Night Out, featuring local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Riverview Park in Sebastian.
This free, family-friendly event aims to foster positive relationships between the community and law enforcement while showcasing the tools and vehicles used to ensure our public safety.
Community Night Out is part of a broader initiative inspired by National Night Out, an annual nationwide campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event aims to make communities safer and more cohesive by encouraging open dialogue and trust between residents and law enforcement.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with officers from multiple agencies, including the Sebastian Police Department, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Highway Patrol, and federal law enforcement representatives, among others.
Police motorcycles, patrol boats, and helicopters will be on display, offering everyone the opportunity to explore the equipment used in daily operations and emergency response situations.
Families can enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones while enjoying a festive atmosphere suitable for all ages. Children can participate in interactive activities, including tours of emergency vehicles and demonstrations of law enforcement technology. Local first responders will also be on hand to discuss safety initiatives and community programs, such as neighborhood watch and youth outreach efforts.
