The City of Sebastian will hold its annual Touch and Tour event at the City Hall complex on Saturday, September 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering residents the opportunity to explore city operations, vehicles, and community services.
The event, centered around a Touch-A-Truck theme, will feature a variety of city and commercial vehicles, including a dump truck, vacuum truck, excavator, side-arm, bucket truck, garbage truck, fire truck, and a Police Department SWAT vehicle.
City staff will be on hand to explain the vehicles’ functions and their roles in municipal operations.
In addition to the vehicle showcase, the event will include food, drinks, and music in the City Hall courtyard. Multiple activities will take place across the City Hall complex, engaging visitors of all ages.
- A police K9 demonstration will be held on the grass area south of the Boys and Girls Club.
- The Historical Building will open its museum for tours, hosting a scavenger hunt and crafts for children.
- Staff from the Indian River Lagoon program, located in the same building, will discuss their environmental efforts.
- The Veterans Service Office will also be available to highlight its services.
- The Art Center will host an open house, featuring artwork in its gallery with pieces available for purchase, and offering complimentary face painting for children.
- The Senior Center will host an open house, welcoming residents to showcase its facilities and amenities.
