SEBASTIAN — Employees at Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital began Thanksgiving week by delivering a truckload of food donations to a local pantry, aiming to help families in northern Indian River County avoid hunger during the holiday season.
The 178-bed comprehensive medical and surgical facility began its donation drive this fall, which included canned goods, soup, pasta, cereal, crackers, peanut butter and jelly, along with other nonperishable items. Hospital team members dropped off the supplies at the Roseland Ecumenical Food Pantry in Roseland on Monday, November 24, 2025, just in time for Thanksgiving.
The pantry serves about 150 families each week from Sebastian, Fellsmere and South Brevard County. Last year, it provided more than 140,000 meals to local residents, according to hospital officials.
Orlando Health, a private not-for-profit health care system based in Orlando, operates Sebastian River Hospital as part of its network spanning Florida, Alabama and Puerto Rico.
