The Senior Resource Association (SRA) needs volunteer drivers for its Meals on Wheels program in Indian River County. The program is dedicated to promoting independence in the community and delivers nutritious meals to local seniors, to ensure they receive vital support to maintain their health and well-being.
The Meals on Wheels program relies on compassionate individuals to deliver meals to homebound seniors. Volunteers are crucial to maintaining this lifeline for those who rely on it, and during this time of year, the Senior Resource Association faces a shortage of drivers.
Delivering for Meals on Wheels is a rewarding and flexible commitment. The routes are available Monday through Friday, take less than two hours to complete, and run between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Volunteers can choose their preferred day and frequency, whether delivering once a week, once a month, or multiple times a week.
Don’t wait—become a Meals on Wheels volunteer today or discover more ways to support the SRA. Call (772) 569-0760 or email info@sramail.org to make a real impact. Every moment you give helps a senior live with dignity and independence.
Join the SRA today and be part of a mission to promote independence and strengthen our community, one meal at a time.
