VERO BEACH – The Junior League of Indian River is accepting nominations for the 2018 Woman of the Year. A woman can be nominated in one of four categories: Business/Professional, Civic/Non-Profit Professional, Volunteer and Rising Star (women ages 17-25).

Nomination forms and further information on each category can be found on the Woman of the Year website at www.jlir.org. The deadline for submissions is February 7, 2018.

“The conversation about the contributions that women make in our community has never been more topical than it is today,” says Susan Aguirre, Junior League board member and VP of the Fundraising Council. “Indian River County has so many inspiring women and Woman of the Year provides a platform to highlight just some of their incredible accomplishments.”

A Woman of the Year nominee is a woman who demonstrates high ethical standards personally, is a recognized role model, has a strong sense of community responsibility and is outstanding in her contributions within Indian River County.

The Woman of the Year luncheon will take place on April 18 at the Moorings Yacht and Country Club (100 Harbour Dr, Vero Beach) at 11:30 a.m. Tickets for the event are $100 and can be purchased on the Junior League’s website.
