Groovin in Grant will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the Grant Community Club; it will consist of Stardate 1970, a small theater production, and multiple food trucks. Entry is free.
Treasure Coast Players Present Stardate 1970
Stardate 1970 is about a starship called the Intra-Path being attacked by a race of alien beings that have intercepted radio transmissions from 1970. The song on the radio they intercepted was about war and death, so now the aliens believe that all of humanity needs to be eradicated before they do irreparable damage to the universe.
Captain James T Jirk and his crew do their best to convince them that music is just a form of creative expression. But, these alien beings are finding it difficult to understand the meaning of creative expression. So, the crew goes back in time to directly bring the music of the ’70s to them, to save all humanity from destruction.
