VERO BEACH — Families in search of spring break adventures can head to the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) to discover Florida’s natural wonders, with single-day camps focused on the Indian River Lagoon.
The 64-acre lagoon-island nature center, located at 255 Live Oak Drive in Vero Beach, is hosting Junior Naturalist sessions for kids ages 6-8 and Senior Naturalist sessions for kids ages 9-12 on March 30th and 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will blend hands-on outdoor exploration, nature activities, and lagoon discoveries across the campus.
Kids can sign up for one day or both. Member discounts and scholarships are available to those who qualify. Apply by emailing info@discoverelc.org. Space is limited, so act today.
Campers need to pack:
- a reusable water bottle
- an eco-friendly lunch daily
- hats
- bug spray
- sunscreen

Environmental Learning Center
The Environmental Learning Center serves as a nature hub dedicated to educating visitors about Florida’s ecosystems and promoting envenvironmental protectiond personal wellness. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit has interactive aquariums, touch tanks, animal exhibits, boardwalk trails, pontoon boat tours, kayak excursions, guided walks, wellness programs, and field trips for schools and event spaces for groups.
