Deputies say the body of a man was found in the water Wednesday morning at the boat ramp in Grant. A witness discovered the body after spotting a canoe near Christenson’s Boat Ramp in Grant.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office told Sebastian Daily deputies responded to the area at approximately 9:30 a.m., where the body was located just north of the man’s canoe.
Crime scene detectives worked the scene for several hours. There were no apparent injuries to the body. The investigation is currently ongoing.
The sheriff’s office has not provided information, such as the man’s name or what investigators believe led to his death.
Jorgensen’s Landing and Christenson’s Boat Ramp are just minutes north of Sebastian on the east side of U.S. Highway 1.
