The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) and Team Success are partnering with local barbers to offer free haircuts and braids to children in preparation for the upcoming school year.
The Barber Give Back will be on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
The event will also include bounce houses, fishing activities, a mobile children’s ID unit, food trucks, face painting, a DJ, and more!
Last year, Michael Marsh, Team Success Co-Founder/President, and IRCSO Capt. Angela Rosado-Jones, from the Corrections Support Division, identified a need in the community for haircuts and braiding services for children returning to school, and they wanted to add a special touch to the traditional back-to-school event. They came up with this idea and were able to help dozens of children last year.
They have high hopes for this year, and are bringing more stylists and barbers in to do 200 plus kids.
“When an average kid’s cut or braids can be $50 each, we wanted to save these parents money so they can focus on the pens, paper, and pencils instead of a haircut or new braids,” Marsh told Sebastian Daily.
“Our Sheriff attended last year and believes in community first always,” Marsh added.
