SEBASTIAN — American Legion Post 189 will host a community pancake breakfast Sunday, March 29, open to the public in honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
The event falls on the national observance, which recognizes U.S. service members who served during the Vietnam War. March 29 marks the anniversary of the 1973 departure of the last American combat troops from Vietnam.
Sons of The American Legion Squadron 189 will cover the cost of breakfast for any Vietnam-era veterans who attend and wear an identifying item, such as a cap, pin or other marker of their service. They will also be asked to sign a Welcome Home Banner.
Veterans will also be invited to sign a Welcome Home Banner at the post.
The breakfast will be held at the post home, 807 Louisiana Ave., Sebastian, from 8 to 11 a.m.
The community is invited to join. The event is open to the public.
