The Board of Directors of the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce announced that Amber Batchelor, President/CEO of the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, has been terminated.

Joel Stout, Chairman of the Board, has been named the interim President/CEO.

“The Board of Directors remains dedicated to supporting the business community and members during these extraordinary times,” The Chamber said in a statement.

The Board is reviewing the Chamber operational plan, realignment of chamber staff and the opening of the Pelican Porch Visitor Center, with direction from Governor DeSantis and in accordance with the CDC guidelines.

“The Board is committed to the rescheduling of Chamber events and new dates will be announced as soon as possible,” they said.

The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, established in 1958, is a pro-active member-supported association with 500 businesses, organizations and individuals, united in their efforts to support a healthy business environment, promote business development, encourage growth of tourism, and to use its collective strength to enhance the quality of life in the community.

There is no other information about Batchelor’s termination.
