Amanda Towne Still Missing, Deputies Recover Items of Interest

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said Amanda Towne is still missing, and it’s still an ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday, several people reported a crime scene investigation and a road blocked near Fellsmere.

“They are in the vicinity of 97th Street and 141st Ave. They are not in the city limits of Fellsmere,” Police Chief Keith Touchberry told Sebastian Daily.

We then reached out to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

“Amanda has not been found. It’s still an active investigation. I will say that we have recovered items of interest,” Maj. Eric Flowers told Sebastian Daily.

The 27-year-old mother of three went missing from the 13000 block of 99th Street in Fellsmere nearly two months ago. She was last seen wearing a camouflage hooded sweater with a zipper, dark-colored spandex pants, and dark-colored flip-flops.

Search Party

Another search party is meeting this Saturday, April 25, 2020, at 9:00 am, at the C54 Canel in Fellsmere. They are asking for volunteers to help in the search. Please bring drones, horses, ATVs, search dogs, metal detectors, boats, kayaks, jet skis, or anything else you think will be helpful.
