VERO BEACH — Indian River County residents with suspended driver’s licenses will get a chance next week to pay overdue court fines and traffic tickets while saving up to 30% on extra fees.
The Indian River Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office is holding its Operation Green Light event from April 13-17, 2026. People can clear their balances and work toward regaining their driving privileges.
The program targets overdue court obligations, such as unpaid traffic tickets, that led to license suspensions. By paying during the special week, participants avoid some collection agency fees which can add up quickly.
“We want to help people save money and get back on the road,” Clerk Ryan L. Butler’s office said in event details.
The event will take place at two locations:
- Indian River County Courthouse – 2000 16th Ave., Vero Beach, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Sebastian Office – 1921 U.S. Highway 1, Sebastian, open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
People should bring identification plus any paperwork related to their suspended license or cases. Officials recommend checking the clerk’s website or calling ahead to confirm what documents are needed for their specific situation.
Operation Green Light is part of a statewide effort by Florida clerks of court. Similar events happen in other counties each year to give drivers a break on fees and help clear backlogs.
The clerk’s office notes that this is a limited-time offer. Anyone with questions can visit the Indian River Clerk of the Circuit Court or contact the office directly.
This year’s event comes as many residents still deal with pandemic-era tickets or other monetary difficulties that affected their ability to drive legally.
Getting a license reinstated can make a big difference for work, family and daily life in a county where cars are often needed to get around.
