VERO BEACH — JetBlue Airways will introduce its first-ever service to Vero Beach Regional Airport, with daily flights to Boston and New York starting Dec. 11, 2025, the airline announced Thursday.
The move marks JetBlue as the second commercial carrier at the airport, joining Breeze Airways.
The New York-based airline will operate one daily, year-round flight to both Boston Logan International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Introductory one-way fares start at $69, with bookings available through Aug. 17 for travel between Dec. 11, 2025, and Feb. 11, 2026, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Blackout dates apply from Dec. 18, 2025, to Jan. 5, 2026.
Airport Director Todd Scher said JetBlue first contacted him Aug. 11, expressing interest in the airport. By Aug. 13, the airline confirmed plans to begin operations in December. “It definitely took us off guard,” Scher said. “Now we have to work out the logistics and ensure we can accommodate them, given our limited capacity.”
JetBlue’s expansion also includes a return to Daytona Beach and the introduction of new routes connecting Tampa to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Fort Lauderdale to Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The airline aims to strengthen its presence in Florida, a key leisure market.
“Florida continues to be a place JetBlue’s unique combination of low fares and great service resonates, and we’re proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning and airline partnerships.
“Whether it’s customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we’re excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets,” Jehn added.
Vero Beach Regional Airport has seen growing passenger traffic, with Breeze Airways reporting nearly 83% of its previous years’ total passengers by mid-2025. JetBlue’s arrival is expected to further boost the airport’s role as a regional travel hub.
