INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Residents in unincorporated areas of Indian River County will experience a one-day delay in curbside trash, recycling, and yard waste collection due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
No residential curbside services for garbage, recycling, or yard waste will be provided on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Customers typically serviced on Thursday will receive pickup on Friday, November 28, while Friday customers will be served on Saturday, November 29.
The change affects the universal curbside collection service that launched on October 1, offering weekly pickups for carted trash, recycling, yard waste, and up to four bulk items per household. Residents should check the county’s service day map or guidelines for details specific to their location.
The county’s five customer convenience centers and its main landfill will close Thursday, Nov. 27.
