ORLANDO — Walt Disney World is rolling out fresh ticket deals aimed at Florida residents, including a multi-day option that slashes costs for visits to its iconic theme parks through the spring.
The resort announced the Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket, which lets locals snag a four-day pass for $255 plus tax, or about $64 per day. That’s a 40% savings compared to standard non-resident prices for similar tickets. A three-day version costs $235 plus tax, representing a 30% discount.
These tickets are good for one park per day, but upgrades like the Park Hopper option — which allows you to jump between Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom — can be added for an extra fee. They’re valid from Jan. 12 through May 16, with no blackout dates listed, though advance reservations are required and spots can fill up fast.
Disney is also introducing a special two-day, two-park ticket for $190 plus tax, limited to Epcot and Animal Kingdom. This offer runs from Jan. 12 to April 18 and follows the same reservation rules, giving residents a budget-friendly way to dip into the parks without committing to the full lineup.
Proof of Florida residency is required, and Disney has simplified the process with online verification at checkout on its website or app. Buyers fill out a form with their address, or they can show ID at park windows if needed. The deals come as the company seeks to boost local attendance amid the ongoing recovery from pandemic-era dips and rising competition from other Florida attractions.
Beyond tickets, Florida residents can grab annual passes starting at $489 plus tax for the Pixie Dust Pass, which includes parking perks and discounts on food and merch. A water park seasonal pass is available for $89 plus tax, valid through May 9 with some blockout dates.
Room discounts are part of the mix, with savings up to 30% on select Disney resort hotels for stays from late February through April’s end. It’s all subject to availability, and Disney warns that offers may change or disappear without notice.
These promotions build on Disney’s long tradition of courting in-state visitors, who make up a hefty chunk of the resort’s crowds. With inflation pinching wallets, the timing could help families plan affordable getaways close to home.
