The owners of Crab Stop announced Sunday they are closing their seafood restaurants in Sebastian and Vero Beach after more than 13 years in business, citing a desire to focus on family and future endeavors.
The decision comes after “much reflection and prayer,” according to a statement from the restaurant, which described the move as intentional but difficult.
“These restaurants have been more than businesses. They have been places of connection, celebration, and community,” the statement said. “We are deeply thankful for every guest who supported us, every memory made within these walls, and every moment shared with us over the years.”
The family-owned restaurant thanked its employees and customers. “To our incredible team, thank you for your dedication, your heart, and the pride you brought into this work every day,” the release added. “You helped create something truly meaningful, and we will always be grateful for you.”
Owners did not specify a closure date but indicated the move allows them to prioritize “family, balance, and what’s next for us beyond this chapter.” They remain optimistic about the future, noting that “while one chapter is closing, another is opening, and we step into it with gratitude and hope for what’s ahead.”
