VERO BEACH — A shopper at a Publix supermarket in Vero Beach has hit the jackpot, scoring a $10 million prize from a Florida Mega Millions ticket, state lottery officials announced.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Publix store at 5230 U.S. Highway 1, according to the Florida Lottery. It matched the numbers drawn: 6-19-36-40-55.
The prize falls short of the game’s top jackpot but still delivers a life-changing windfall for the lucky buyer, who has yet to come forward.
The Florida Mega Millions jackpot rolls over to an estimated drawing Tuesday, with Fantasy 5 set for Saturday.
Officials remind winners to sign their tickets and claim prizes within the required timeframe to avoid forfeiture.
