Week 5 – Sebastian River High School Football Players Spotlight

Tristan Feeley and Ryan Holderfield

In the fifth week of our Sebastian River High School (SRHS) Football Players Spotlight, we’re shining a light on seniors Tristan Feeley and Ryan Holderfield. Their exceptional performance on the field and in the classroom led their coaches to select them for this honor.

Tristan Feeley #52

Tristan Feeley

Senior athlete Tristan Feeley has been a key player for SRHS’s JV and Varsity football teams over the past four years, showcasing his skills on both offense and defense. After completing high school, he’s set his sights on pursuing a trade education in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).

Beyond the gridiron, Tristan enjoys playing video games with his friends and watching college and pro football with his dad.

Reflecting on his journey, Feeley shared that the guidance and support of his coaches have been instrumental in shaping him, not just as an athlete but also as an individual.

“Tristan has grown as a player so much over the last 4 years. He has proven himself resilient and hardworking,” Defensive line Coach Chris Jefferson told Sebastian Daily.

His most cherished moments are from the practices where he engages in friendly competition with his teammates every single day.

Feeley extends heartfelt gratitude to his parents for constantly encouraging him to excel in academics and football while ensuring he enjoys the journey.

Ryan Holderfield #8

Ryan Holderfield

Ryan Holderfield is a senior who has played football for the last 4 years at SRHS. Upon graduation, Ryan will focus on getting a fire science degree and becoming a firefighter.

According to Holderfield, playing football has taught him discipline & accountability. It has also taught me not to give up & to be there for my team.

Holderfield’s favorite memories at SRHS include the ones he has made with his teammates, who are now brothers, some both on & off the field.

“We have all grown up together, playing this amazing sport,” he stated

Defensive Coordinator Coach Freeman describes Holderfield as a hard worker & a positive teammate.

Communications Director Kelly Green says, “Holderfield has been an amazing asset to the program no matter what, no matter when, he drops what he’s doing to help out wherever he can.”

Head Coach Perry says, “he is loyal to Shark Nation & shows the coaches great respect.”

Team Captains Rox Reiman & Patrick Hamilton say, “Holderfield is a hard worker, very resilient, and tenacious on the field. He loves being on the field & adjusts wherever he is needed.”

Outside of football, he enjoys hanging out with his girlfriend Kyleigh, his close friends, and his family.

“Shout out to my mom for being there for me and teaching me to have character and never quit. I want to dedicate the remainder of my season to my friend & doctor, Dr. Marc McCain, who was a great friend & leader to me,” Holderfield added.

The Sharks will play at home on Friday, September 22, 2023, against Port St. Lucie, with kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
