The Sebastian River High School Band will be having a Walking Tacos fundraiser on Tuesday, October 25th, from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. in the school’s courtyard during their parent/teachers conferences.

A Walking Taco is an individual bag of Doritos topped with taco meat, lettuce, shredded cheese, and some additional toppings.

The cost is $7 for one Walking Taco and a bottle of water.

The money raised will help offset costs for students to go to Washington, DC, in April 2023 to march in the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. In addition, it will go to the general band fund, which covers uniform cleaning costs, meals, and travel expenses for competitions.

National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade

The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade runs along the iconic Constitution Avenue Northwest to a crowd of over 100,000 spectators.

A trip to Washington, D.C. will provide a tremendous educational opportunity for the marching Sharks band students. The 1-mile parade route will pass the National Archives, the Department of Justice, Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument, and the White House.
