Sebastian River High School Band and Choral programs are now presenting their annual Prism Concert through December 11, 2022, in the school’s auditorium.
Sebastian Daily attended their media night last Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed the show.
The two-hour holiday concert showcases the talents of the Concert Bands, the Jazz Band, the Flag and Dance Line, and the Choral Program.
The school has been putting on this show for more than 25 years, and every year seems to improve. I would know as I performed in the first Prism concert as a percussionist. I was blown away by the talent and visual effects they had this year.
These students put in a lot of hard work to pull this show off, many performing in multiple acts and pulling out all of the stops to put the audience in the holiday spirit.
The Prism Concert is the SRHS Music Department’s largest fundraising event of the year. The two-hour concert showcases the talents of the Concert Bands, Jazz Band, the Flag and Dance Line, and the SRHS Choral Program.

Prism
“Prism” symbolizes what happens when a single ray of light hits a glass prism and reflects in multiple beautiful individual color bands. Usually, when the band or chorus performs, it is with the entire group, but Prism Concert allows attendees to enjoy small groups and individual music and dance presentations.
