Paul Champion has been named the Director of Bands at the Sebastian River High School.

“Mr. Champion has served as the Associate Director of Bands for the last three years and prior to that was the Associate Director of Bands at Sunlake High School,” according to SRHS.

Champion is a graduate of Florida State University and marched for three years with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He also spent the summer of 2014 as a performer at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg.

“I am happy to announce that I will be taking over as the Director of Bands at Sebastian River for the 2022-2023 school year! I am so excited for the opportunity to continue the tradition of excellence of this wonderful program,” Champion stated on his Facebook page.  

Champion holds active memberships in the Florida Bandmasters Association, Nation Association for Music Education, and the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America. 

Sebastian River High School is also looking to fill its Associate Director of Bands position and will be posting the job soon.
