Ronald Francis Rego left this earth on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic in Vero Beach, Florida. He had been ill for quite a while but moved on unexpectedly and peacefully.

Born November 4, 1949 in Brockton, Massachusetts, he is survived by 9 children, Tracy, Ronnie jr, Clinton, Robin, Annmarie, Richie, Peter, Bobbie Sue, and Billie Jo, by his fiance Kristin and the children he helped her raise, Trevor, Holden and Devynn; other children he helped to raise Ronna, AJ, and Lisa, too many grandchildren to list and a brother Thomas and half-sister Terri.

Ron was a musical fixture in Sebastian and Vero Beach for many years, first in a band as a singer and bass player and later as a KJ. He led us all on a journey to our best vocals, working for many years in the area at Sandy’s Grille for nearly a decade and at Mugsy’s, Brunicardis, the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and the Blue Lion, as well as many other establishments over the years. He was a loyal friend who would give anyone a hand that needed it and was a jack of all trades, having worked in construction and automotive over the years.

A celebration of life will be held at Sandy’s Grille on March 17, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with karaoke, of course. We welcome anyone who has a story to tell or a memory to pass on.
