VERO BEACH – Kristy Jean (Deptula) Grayson, 65, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, Florida from complications from lung cancer.
Kristy was the wife of George E. Grayson. Born in Enid, OK to the late Joseph and Jean E. (Goffe) Deptula.
She and George lived in both Micco, Florida and Warwick Rhode Island. Kristy was employed with Rhode Island Hospital for twenty-four years, she spent the last several years in their patient financial department.
She will be remembered as a kind and giving person who was a strong individual that survived breast cancer.
She enjoyed spending her winters at her home located in Pelican Bay, going to the beach, lunch with family, friends and neighbors.
Besides her husband George, she is survived by one son, Christopher G Grayson (wife Cathy) and grandson – Elijah S Grayson of Warwick, RI; three siblings, Debra Robberson of Cranston RI, Lori Swanson of Lakeland FL and Richard Deptula of Warwick RI; four stepchildren, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Marc Deptula.
At the request of the family, a private service was held at Carpenter Jenks Funeral Home, West Warwick RI. Burial was held at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter RI.
