SEBASTIAN – James “Jim” Wallace Cooler, Jr. 58, passed away on November 1st, 2018 at his home following a brief illness. Diane was the “Love of his Life.” Jim and Diane shared many happy years together.
Jim was a lifelong native of Vero Beach, FL. He was the son of James Wallace Cooler, Sr. and Joan Marie Ryan Cooler. Jim graduated from Vero Beach High School and attended Indian River Community College. He was employed at Republic Services, after working as a truck driver and for Fresh Market as an Assistant Manager.
Jim retired from Publix Supermarket in 2004, where he served 29 years in a variety of management positions, including Store Manager at several Publix Stores in Sebastian and Vero Beach.
Jim is survived by his mother Joan Marie Ryan Cooler, his brothers Dan, Don and Johnny Cooler, the Love of his Life, Diane, his children Vanessa, Valerie and Ryan Cooler (children of former spouse Sylvia), his grandchildren Jackson and Aubrey and his loving pet, Jasmine.
Jim was an avid auto-racing enthusiast and loved to travel with Diane. He will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to his children, family and those he loved.
A visitation was held for Jim on November 5th. A Celebration of Life was held on November 6th.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).
