Changes in drainage in the Roseland area near the river

Has anyone voiced a concern of a big change in drainage in the area from Old Dixie and Indian River Drive from the edge of Roseland? The area that starts from the cemetery to Roseland Road?

We have noticed a change since the cemetery expansion… when they leveled the historical Sandridge… removing the sand and leveling that area.

Were permits pulled that addressed any Artesian Wells or other drainage issues before the clearing of this land? And yet, another leveling of the historic Sandridge will take place for a medical building off U.S. Highway 1 very soon.

I really feel this needs to be looked into.

Fatal Crash at Barber Bridge

After yet another fatal crash at the west end of the Barber Bridge, how about the traffic wizards do a simple thing – set the traffic control lights and add signage for: LEFT TURN ON ARROW ONLY for vehicles approaching from the north and turning east onto the Barber Bridge.

Northbound traffic would have a RED / STOP signal when the LEFT TURN ARROW is activated for that traffic turning east onto the bridge.

Damien Gilliams and Pamela Parris

I am one of the 18% that voted, and no I did not vote for either of them.

The disgrace they have brought to our town should be an example of why we as voters should pay more attention to who we vote into office.

Now with that being said, maybe what we need is find out where the work and/or what businesses they own and boycott them as well as family-owned businesses.

Indian River County Employee Salaries

I would like to see an article showing salaries and benefits being paid to all Indian River County employees and how long they must work to retire and what amount and benefits they receive in retirement.

What part of total taxes are used to support all employees, current and retired?

I think residents would be very surprised to know.
