Letter to the Editor: Why not tear down Crab E Bills and rebuild?

Letters to the Editor

Letters to the Editor for Monday, January 17, 2022.

Dear Editor:

Just an idea from a Sebastian homeowner and taxpayer.

Our fine city, trying to do “good”, has got into a pickle…Crab-E-Bills.

I do not, in any way, wish any ill will to come to this this or another business in our town. God forbid. But to throw good money after bad is DUMB!!!

Find out what the net profit was for 2018-2019 at Crab E Bills, pre-COVID, average the net, add 20%, and send them on their way and wish them well.

I am sure it will be a lot less than the millions we are going to spend to save the business or the Sebastian Harbor building.

Tear down the mess, and sell the land as commercial property. Put the “museum” in a small building next to the “WORKING WATERFRONT.”

Problem solved!! IMHO!! Keep the city OUT of the rental business!

Walter Husak Sr.
Sebastian
