Tina and I would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. We haven’t been able to answer every single email or text yet, but we will soon.
We wanted to give everyone an update since we contracted COVID-19.
No other Sebastian Daily staff members have contracted the virus other than us two, which is very fortunate.
It’s Day #7, and we still have all the virus symptoms in what seems like an eternity with no relief in sight. Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, chills, extreme aches and pains, diarrhea, and so on. Luckily, we don’t have any of the respiratory problems that are common with the virus.
However, this virus is very serious, and we ask everyone to be extremely careful. Don’t mess with this thing as it’s preventable. Please wear a mask and don’t do what we did and become careless. Stop with the mask debate as health officials say it will help. The virus is not a hoax.
We’re not trying to tell people what to do, but if we can save anyone else from contracting this miserable virus, we urge them to follow the CDC recommendations and social distance, wear a mask, and wash your hands regularly.
Also, immunity is very short, about four months or less. So, we could catch it again if we’re not careful.
