As of 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18th, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Indian River County. There is still one confirmed case in Brevard County.
In Florida, there are 216 cases and 7 deaths.
While Sebastian bars are shut down, most of the restaurants are open for business at 50% capacity, as well as take-out orders. We will publish a complete list by Thursday.
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) will be enforcing and providing further guidance. All restaurant owners or managers must screen employees for signs of coronavirus before each shift.
Overnight, the number of cases in the United States jumped nearly 40 percent to 6,519. There have been more than 100 deaths.
Globally, there are over 204,000 cases. Over 82,000 people have recovered, and there have been 8,200 deaths.
If you are taking preventative steps to reduce your risk of exposure, there’s no need to panic. Remain calm.
Stay home if you are ill or have a chronic health condition. Wash your hands regularly. Disinfect anything you touch, such as the steering wheel and door handle on your vehicle, the door handle to your home, sink faucets, etc.
