The health department is finally releasing more details on how many people are infected with coronavirus in Indian River County.

It’s been confirmed now that 2 people in Sebastian, Florida have contracted COVID-19.

On Thursday, as of 9:15 a.m., there are 35 cases reported by the health department in Indian River County.

The next update will be around 12:00 p.m. today.

Stay At Home Order

Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a Florida Stay At Home order that begins begins at 12:01 a.m. April 3, 2020, and ends April 30, 2020, unless extended by a subsequent order. The new order limits movements and personal interactions to only obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities.

The businesses that will remain open include gas stations, pharmacies, veterinarians, grocery stores, convenience stores, public transportation, and emergency services.

The parks in Sebastian remain open as long as the public practices social distancing.
