According to the state health department, all of these positive numbers in this article are identified as “cases.” Therefore, Sebastian Daily will describe these numbers as “cases” even though some people, mostly non experts, claim they are not.
In Sebastian, the number of new cases rose sharply to 44 from Friday to Monday, averaging about 14 new cases per day. This number has more than doubled during the past week.
Even so, Sebastian is still doing far better than other cities like Vero Beach or Miami.
Since Friday, 2 people have died from COVID-19 in Indian River County. In Brevard County, 15 people have died from COVID-19 since Friday. Overall, the number of deaths by “cases” is still very low.
Please follow the CDC guidelines and wear a mask and social distance. You can still live your life and be safe. This pandemic is far from over.
