Recent restaurant health inspections in Sebastian show consistency

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, most restaurants failed their health inspection during the first visit, and it took a second inspection to meet compliance.

Today, it has all changed. Most restaurant owners used the pandemic shutdown to deep-clean their kitchens, bars, and dining areas. You can see the improvements at places like Capt. Hirams, Sandy’s Grille, and Sebastian Saltwater, to name a few.

Restaurants that passed their health inspections in May 2022:

We recently visited The Pelican Pub and liked what we saw. It’s a small and friendly place, and they do an excellent job with cleanliness behind their bar.

Sebastian Train Depot has never received a bad inspection, but they have only been open for 1 1/2 years. In our experience, we have seen new restaurants begin to decline after their first year in business. But not so for the Train Depot. Their latest inspection proves that they are consistent and keep the establishment clean.

Mandarin Garden has had multiple shutdowns by the health inspector during the past three years. But, after two recent health inspections, they seem to be on the right track. They are the only Chinese restaurant in the area. The others are for take-out.
