The number of COVID-19 cases in Sebastian climbed to 61, as Fellsmere jumps to 192.

Last night, the Sebastian City Council passed a resolution that requires all employees at businesses to wear masks. The public is also encouraged to wear masks, which is still voluntary.

Captain Hirams Resort has shut down until further notice after a second employee tested positive for COVID-19 on the property.

Florida set a new record with 9,558 new cases Wednesday.

The number of patients at local hospitals and deaths related to the virus have dropped. COVID-19 is still a serious pandemic in Florida and should be taken seriously.

Please wear a mask when in stores, wash your hands regularly, and practice social distancing.
