Since Florida lifted all COVID-19 restrictions, we’ve been waiting to see a spike in new cases.

On Wednesday, the number of new cases in Florida spiked from 2,155 to 5,489 cases. Even so, this is clearly a small spike considered the ones in July when it hit 15,000.

The percent of positive results ranged from 3.44% to 7.88% over the past 2 weeks and was 5.62% yesterday. Still, very low compared to July when it soared.

At the same time, the number of deaths related to COVID-19 has dropped considerably in Florida.

In Sebastian, the number of new cases is also dropping, showing no local spike

We still need to wash our hands, social distance, and wear a mask. These guidelines are working in Florida.
