Latest coronavirus update in Sebastian, Florida.

Latest coronavirus update in Sebastian, Florida.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Sebastian is on the rise, and we expect those numbers to continue next week.

The rise is slow, approximately 4 to 7 new cases per day in Sebastian. However, most people come into contact with the virus and don’t know they have it for approximately five days. During that time, they can infect others and not even know it.

The number of deaths across the state remain low. That number can change at any time, so please be safe.

The virus is still dangerous and can have different symptoms for people.

We care for Sebastian and its residents and that’s why we continue to promote the CDC guidelines. We do not want to see others sick, as our staff contracted COVID-19 last Month. This is a nasty virus and can be preventable when practicing simple guidelines.

Please don’t wear the same mask day after day or you will get a bacteria infection, or possibly worse, pneumonia. Wearing a mask protects you and others.

You can still live your life and be safe.
