COVID-19 cases continue to remain low in Sebastian and Florida

Sebastian, Florida COVID-19 update.

According to data released by the state officials, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Florida are still averaging the same prior to when the state lifted its restrictions and reopened bars.

We are not seeing any “spikes” as a result of Florida reopening.

Hospitalizations in Indian River County also remain low using only a 37 percent capacity, with 15 ICU patients in Cleveland Clinic, and 5 ICU patients at the Sebastian River Medical Center.

In Florida, there are 1,991 patients being hospitalized, a very low number compared to July, August, and September.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 are also very low statewide.

We still need to wash our hands, social distance, and wear a mask. These guidelines are working in Florida.
