SEBASTIAN – The 11th Annual Opening Day Regatta will be on February 17th, 2018 at 8:00 am at the Canal 54 in Southern Brevard County Florida.
Rowing teams from around the state will compete for the gold. This year they will be running only junior events, with running time trials (1500 meters) in the morning, and then finals (1500m) in the afternoon for all boats.
Every boat will be scheduled to race twice. Middle School will only race once – in time trial format. Medals will be awarded to the winning teams.
Schedule:
- Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8, Junior 8, Light 8, Freshmen 8 – Time Trials – 8:30 – 9:15 – Finals 12:30 – 1:30
- Varsity 4, Junior 4, Light 4 – Time Trials – 9:20 – 10:05 – Finals 1:35 – 2:35
Hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverages will be available for purchase. Additionally, they will be selling C54 and opening day T-shirts.
