2020 Veterans Day Parade & Memorial in Sebastian and Barefoot Bay

VFW 10210 and American Legion Post 189 of Sebastian will be hosting their annual Veterans Day Memorial at Riverview Veterans Park at 11:00 am. 

Rav Michael Birnholz, Rabbi at Temple Beth Shalom of Vero Beach, will do the invocation. Retired Army Veteran Col. Patty Ryan will be the guest speaker, and Fr. Dave Newhart, a Director on the Board for the Veterans Council of IRC, will do the Benediction.

Sebastian area honor guard and Micheal Hyde, bagpiper, and merchant marine will also be there. 

Following the memorial, attendees are invited to the ALR 189 for an open house. They will be serving free hot dogs to the public.

Veterans Day Parade, Recognition Service, and Fireworks

The Veterans organizations in Barefoot Bay will hold their annual parade and recognition service on November 11, at 11:00 am. The parade will step off from the tennis courts at 10:30 am and proceed to Veterans Way in front of the New Admin Building. 

Due to Building A renovations, the podium and chairs will be set-up “under the oaks” next to the NAB.

Social distancing and face coverings are encouraged at the ceremony. Attendees should bring their golf carts and/or folding chairs. 

Hot dogs, water, soda and light snacks will be served after the service.

Fireworks start at 7:00 pm. They will be shot from the back of the miniature golf course area.
