A Vero Beach couple pleaded guilty, on Wednesday, to receiving recreational drugs such as Molly and bath salts through the mail from China.

Venteria Leanet Reason, 28, pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to import charge. Her husband Julius Andrew Reason III, 32, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture, distribute and possess with intent to manufacture and distribute a controlled substance and conspiracy to import a controlled substance.

According to investigators, for the past 1 1/2 years, the Vero Beach couple has been wiring money to chemical companies in Chinese for Molly and bath salts. They would have the designer drugs shipped to a Vero Beach post office box. Over this time frame, they have spent close to $60,000 for the drugs.

Molly is a psychoactive drug, primarily known as a designer recreational drug. It is commonly called ecstasy or (E). Its effects include heightened sensations, increased empathy, and euphoria.

Bath salts can be granules, crystals, or a white powder. While they resemble bath salts, their chemically make-up is extremely different. They are commonly taken with alcohol as the interrelation between the two has rewarding and psychostimulant effects.
