SEBASTIAN – An 18-year-old man, who has been arrested, is a person of interest in the death of Logan Spencer of Sebastian, Florida.

Detectives say Elisha Charles Martin was seen on video surveillance picking up Logan Spencer on the day he went missing. During the interview, Martin changed his story several times.

Last Friday, a search warrant was executed at Martin’s home at the 600 block of Carnival Terrace where they found 40 grams of marijuana located next to a revolver firearm.

Martin advised that he sells marijuana and that’s what he was doing with Spencer on the day he went missing.

“He stated he took the missing juvenile to Fellsmere, Florida to conduct a robbery. Martin then advised he could show us the location he dropped him off and drove around waiting for him to be done,” detectives said.

However, Martin changed his story again, stating he dropped Spencer off and thought he was going to commit a murder, so he left him, according to the affidavit.

Martin then changed his story again and told detectives he dropped Spencer off directly in front of where his body was discovered in Fellsmere, the report said.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrested Martin on a charge of Giving False Info to a Law Enforcement Officer During an Investigation, and Felony Sale or Poss Marijuana W/Intent to Deliver.

At this time, Martin has not been charged in the murder of Logan Spencer. He is still being held at the Indian River County Jail on $26,000 bond.

A recent autopsy determined that Spencer had a gunshot wound to the left rear side of his head, detectives said.
