VERO LAKE ESTATES – A resident who lives near 104th Avenue in Vero Lake Estates was shocked when she discovered the back window of her vehicle was smashed.
There was no sign of a rock or anything else used to break the window.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said nothing was stolen from the vehicle. The incident is a total mystery because she has no enemies and there’s no obvious motive behind the crime.
“I don’t know who did it and why. I have no enemies,” the resident said. “We do have a motion camera on my front door, but it didn’t record any movement, and we didn’t find anything that they can have used to do it.”
Unfortunately, for most vehicle owners, insurance companies don’t cover the cost of a back window unless the vehicle has full window coverage.

And here’s another fact: vandals are almost never caught. The only way to protect your vehicle is to park it in a garage. Cameras are another good option, but just like the resident said, it didn’t record the incident since the vehicle was too far away.
