Former Sebastian Server Accused of Stealing Credit Card Information

Kevin C. Harris was arrested for stealing credit card info at various restaurants.

A former server has been accused of stealing credit card information from multiple restaurants where he was employed, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Kevin Harris, 29, worked at Ruby Tuesday and Captain Hirams Resort in Sebastian and various establishments in Brevard County. He was fired from two restaurants in Sebastian because of theft issues.

Investigators tell Sebastian Daily that Harris stole credit card information from 25 restaurant patrons by taking photos of their cards while processing their bills. He then used the stolen credit card numbers to purchase $10,000 worth of merchandise. Harris would also purchase gift cards with the stolen credit cards to pay for the customers’ bill at the restaurants so he could pocket the cash.

Harris was also stealing from approximately 10 different retail businesses and then taking the stolen items to local Pawn Shops where he would pawn the items for cash, said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.
